SERM Graduates Recognized
The recognition ceremony to commemorate the taught component for the collaborative MSc in Sustainable Environmental Resource Management (SERM) between the University of Malta and James Madison University, was held on the 28th May, 2010 at the Aula Magna of the Valletta Campus of the University of Malta. The Ceremony was initiated by a speech from the Pro- Rector, Professor Alfred Vella, who was followed by the co-ordinators of the programme, Professor Jonathan Miles for James Madison University and Dr. Louis Cassar on behalf of the University of Malta. Kevin Muscat and Kimberlee Robetella, a Maltese and US student respectively, delivered a speech on behalf of the students. The ceremony culminated with the distribution of transcripts of studies for the first two semesters. The ceremony was followed by a reception for students, their families, staff and guests.

The first of the two University of Malta Graduation 2010 Masses took place at St John's Co-Cathedral on Tuesday 16 November at 1830hr for the Faculties of Arts, Education, Engineering, Laws, Science, Theology, Information and Communication Technology and Centre for Communication Technology. On Wednesday 17 November at 1830hrs, Mass was held for graduates of the Faculties of Built Environment, Dental Surgery, Economics, Management and Accountancy, Medicine and Surgery, Health Sciences and all other Institutes and Centres.
The graduation ceremony of the International Masters Proprammes students was held on the 25th November at 16:30 at the Valletta Campus. During this ceremony the successful students who completed the MSc in Sustainable Environment Resources Management (SERM) and MA in Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) received their University of Malta degree. At a ceremony held at James Madison University main campus on the 18th December 2010, successful students were awarded their James Madison University degree certificates.
